• An MHK will formally present a campaigner's petition calling for protections for immigrants with leave to remain on Island. • Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh is set to lay Vanessa Naude’s petition before Tynwald next month. • It’s been signed by nearly 2,000 people, and asks government to provide protections for people who’ve already moved here legally, in the event of future immigration rule changes.

• A mini heatwave is set to bring some of the hottest weather of the year so far to the Isle of Man this week. • Today’s temperatures are expected to reach 23°C, with the five-day forecast showing conditions becoming even warmer in the days ahead. • The Ronaldsway Met Office says temperatures could peak at around 25°C by Thursday, bringing plenty of sunshine and increasingly humid conditions.
• Manx Utilities says construction of the Peel sewage treatment works has taken another important step forward. • The company has now finished the concrete barrier walls at the site on Glenfaba Road. • MU adds it’ll now be removing construction materials from the site for around three weeks.
