• Tynwald asked to receive consultation responses at June sitting. • It’s hoped new legislation to combat homelessness will be brought back to the Island’s parliament by March next year. • At this month’s sitting of Tynwald politicians will be asked to receive the Housing and Communities Board’s review of consultation responses.
• Calls for similar restrictions to be implemented on the Island. • A group calling for restrictions on social media for under-16s will meet with Tynwald members next week. • Yesterday (15 June) the UK announced a which will restrict young peoples’ access to apps including TikTok and Snapchat from next year.
• Bill will now be resubmitted for royal assent. • Tynwald has today voted to approve amendments to the Island’s Assisted Dying Bill. • It means the bill will now again be submitted to the UK’s Ministry of Justice for royal assent.

• A deemster will reveal whether a group fighting for new inquests into the Summerland disaster has won a vital appeal this week. • The Justice for Summerland campaign group was told last year the Island’s attorney general wouldn’t order new hearings into the 1973 fire which cost 50 lives. • It appealed against that decision in a case heard earlier this year.
• All Land Play Centre faced 'many challenges'. • The owners of an indoor play centre in Douglas say they’ve made the very difficult decision’ to close. • All Land Play Centre opened in August 2024 on Duke Street.
• A Nigerian man who took his family to an employment tribunal has been awarded £941 because he wasn't given payslips. • Tolani Emmanuel Okunola took out a claim against Oris de Master’s Snack Shack at the Bottleneck Car Park on Douglas Promenade after a row which he claimed saw him sacked but the business says resulted in him resigning.
• Bus Vannin has issued a warning for children - who it says are crossing the road dangerously after getting off its services. • On social media, the organisation says children getting off buses are crossing in front of them. • In a post on Facebook, it points out they won’t be able to see cars passing vehicles, and drivers won’t be able to see them until it’s too late.
