Health minister apologises for confusion over ambulance centre funding

• Funds were withdrawn four months before minister told House of Keys they were available.
• The health minister has apologised after learning funds set aside to progress plans for a new ambulance facility had been withdrawn.
• In June last year, Claire Christian told the House of Keys £125,000 was available to scope a make-ready ambulance centre.

3FM · Weather07:20 Charity wants your old bike leathers • An Island charity is asking for your old bike leathers - so it can help train medics on how to cut them off safely. • The Rob Vine Fund says it’s looking for old, damaged, unused or outgrown leathers, boots or gloves. • Its Hogg Motorsport Rescue team will use them to train volunteers on how to tackle materials and fastenings in the event of a real incident.
