• 'People's views lead to real change' says Manx Care. • People who access the Mental Health Service on the Isle of Man are being asked to share their experiences. • Manx Care has launched a set of feedback questionnaires which are designed to improve the service.
• Health minister confirms limited term appointment won't be extended. • Manx Care’s interim director of operations will leave the organisation next month. • Health Minister Claire Christian confirmed in response to a Tynwald written question that the postholder will not be extending their limited term appointment when it ends next month.
• You may be unable to make an appointment at this time. • In an urgent public notice issued shortly after 4.15pm (today) Wednesday,Manx Care said some services were facing delays and that patients may be unable to get through to their GP practice at this time. • The organisation advised patients, where possible, to delay contacting their practice until another day to help ease pressure while issues are resolved.

• He was a passenger in a car travelling on the ferry. • Ryan Ralph Gale, of Ambassador, Bracknell, was told to pay the fine immediately, plus £125 costs, or face up to 50 days in prison. • Gale was arrested on May 11, while he was a passenger in a car disembarking the ferry from Liverpool.

• Star Pride docked for second time this week. • A large group of cyclists are exploring the Isle of Man today after disembarking from a cruise ship. • Star Pride is visiting Douglas for its second of three trips this month; it first docked on Monday (8 June).
• Includes one set of twins. • Forty-three babies were born on the Isle of Man in May. • Statistics released by the Jane Crookall Maternity Unit show 25 were boys.
• The Manx Credit Union says its office will be shut for around a fortnight as it brings in a new software system. • The organisation, based on Peel Road in Douglas, took to Facebook to tell its members about the move. • It says staff will still be answering emails and phones during normal working hours and loan payments should be made as usual.
• An event in the south of the Island this week will discuss the future of a church. • The trustees of Ballabeg Methodist Church are hosting the public consultation tonight, Wednesday, June 10, from 7pm in the church hall on Main Road. • The church was founded in 1854, but the trustees say declining membership means it’s facing tough financial decisions.
• A yacht crew travelling from the Isle of Man had to be rescued from their vessel after it ran aground off the coast of Wales earlier this week. • Holyhead’s RNLI crew was alerted just after 4.30pm on Monday when the 40-foot boat got stuck on rocks on the western coast of Anglesey. • The three people, who were sailing from the Isle of Man to Penrhos, had to be transferred to the inshore lifeboat Mary and Archie Hooper.
• Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Clare Barber says the Island's made almost £3 million from selling plantation wood since 2023. • The figures were given in response to a question on the topic in the House of Keys this week. • Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse wanted to know details from the past three years.
• There’s no getting away from it: it was a massive crash, and it shook us. • The pair crashed after their outfit lifted and overturned at Crosby Leap causing the session to be red flagged. • The incident was similar to Peter Founds and Jevan Walmsley’s crash at Rhencullen last TT and led to event organisers suspending the class at this year’s festival because of safety concerns with the outfits’ aerodynamics.

• 27-year-old handed suspended prison sentence. • Report by BBC Isle of Man A man who fraudulently claimed more than £85,000 in incapacity benefit while working for several employers has been sentenced. • Vincent McGee, 27, initially claimed the Social Security payments in August 2018 while working as a barman at an Italian restaurant.
• A post on Facebook alleged it is 'no longer being offered'. • University College Isle of Man says the post GCSE engineering courses are an ’important part’ of the curriculum and are still running. • It’s after a post on Facebook this morning, which alleged the course is no longer being offered.
• Clare Barber faces questions over member's decision to overrule planning committee. • The decision to grant permission for telegraph poles in Peel, despite a planning inspector recommending otherwise, should still stand, according to the environment minister. • Manx Telecom’s plans, for eight new poles in Bellevue Park and Carmane Close and another in Cronk Rearyt, were rejected by the planning committee over their visual impact.
• An Onchan garage that shut earlier this year could be bulldozed under new plans. • Haydn Minay, on Church Road, and a house next door would be flattened and replaced with up to six new houses. • The garage closed in April, after 54 years in business.
• The Department of Infrastructure says it carried out just under £484,500 worth of work on the TT course after inspections with race organisers. • A Freedom of Information request asked how much it had cost to get the Mountain Course ready for this year’s race festival. • In its response, the DOI said the one-way system on Snaefell cost £3,100 in staff time, while £7,650 was spent on preparation work such as signs and barriers.
• A 250-year-old piece of Ballaugh history will be chopped down next week. • The elm tree next to the play area, which has stood for centuries, has Dutch Elm Disease. • Ballaugh Commissioners say it’ll be felled on Monday, June 15 - the old railway line will be closed and the work area cordoned off, with the park closed.
• Five pounds could be worth more than £200 at an auction this weekend. • Chrystals Auctions is holding a sale at its rooms on Allan Street in Douglas from 10am on Saturday, June 13. • Among the lots are 10 Manx 50p notes, which were withdrawn in 1989 and ceased being legal tender in 2013.
• A planning application's been submitted to replace a 50 metre radio tower at the top of Snaefell. • National Air Traffic Services (NATS) is looking for permission to remove the original mast, as the weather’s taken its toll on the wooden parts. • Helicopters would be used to do the work, with other materials brought up via the mountain railway.
