Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident

A man has been treated for non-life threatening injuries following an incident near the Tesco store in Ramsey on Saturday morning.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident, which was reported to police in the early hours of the morning. The Bowring Road Tesco store and its car park remain closed while the investigation continues.

Isle of Man Constabulary confirmed they were called to reports of an assault near the popular retail outlet at approximately 3:30 AM. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured man was taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said: "We are treating this as a serious incident and our investigation is ongoing. We would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact police immediately."

The area around the Tesco store has been cordoned off, with diversions in place on Bowring Road. Local residents have been advised to avoid the area while police conduct their investigation.

This is the second significant incident in Ramsey in recent weeks, following reports of antisocial behaviour in the town center. Local community leaders have called for increased police presence in the area.

The investigation is expected to continue throughout the weekend. Police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident at this time.
